Re: Using csved, is this posible ?

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Sorry, I don't know of a way around it.

Hj there.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I do know ADMT. But that is not the problem. The
problem is:

I am using a comand like this on my "old" server:
csvde -f export.csv -d "ou=k***,dc=k***,dc=local" -l "DN, objectClass,
sAMAccountName, displayName, homeDirectory, homeDrive".

This takes users my data from the ou caled k*** on the domian caled
k***.local and puts it in to the file caled export.csv.

It gives me a file with lines like this:
This is the first line in the file:
DN,objectClass,displayName,homeDirectory,homeDrive,sAMAccountName

This is line 19 in my file:
CN=Michael Bengt
Madsen,OU=Faste,OU=Laerkehoej,OU=K***,DC=k***,DC=local,user,Michael Bengt
Madsen,\\\\SBS\\users\\bengt,Z:,bengt

But in ordre to get this to work i must manualy edit the lines so they
look something like this:
"CN=Michael Bengt
Madsen,OU=Faste,OU=Laerkehoej,OU=K***,DC=k***,DC=local",user,"Michael
Bengt Madsen",\\\\DC1\\users\\bengt,Z:,bengt

Is there a smart way to ad the " " whitout the manual work ?

I can change the \SBS\ to \DC1\ automaticly in excel, but the rest .???

Are you trying to migrate users from one domain to another? If so look
at ADMT v3, unclear what you are trying to do. ADMT is a free migration
tool from Microsoft.

I can migrate users and OU but it is a pain :-(

Thanks :-)

PS: YES, i know swing migration and stuff like that, but this is a test
and mostly for fun of it and learing bulk creation of users in a bizare
way :-)
