Hello Daniel,
You talk about a second NIC, is it enabled, then please post also an ipconfig
/all from it. For the DNS server ip i would change to the real one instead
of the loopback ip address.

Dear All,
I have the following problem on a DC and I hope there someone to help
me.
The errors:
Event 1058
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO
CN={31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=tkd
msc,DC=nl.
The file must be present at the location
<\\tkdmsc.nl\sysvol\tkdmsc.nl\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04F
B984F9}\gpt.ini>. (Access is denied. ). Group Policy processing
aborted.
Event 1030
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. Check the
event
log for possible messages previously logged by the policy engine that
describes the reason for this.
Symptoms
1. From the DC I cannot access the share \\tkdmsc\sysvol I get a logon
window. When mapping C:\WINDOWS\SYSVOL\sysvol\tkdmsc.nl there is no
problem.
From a other server I can also map both shares.
2. When I click on a GPO to edit it, I get the error unable to logon.
3. there are no FRS issues
The configuration:
SBS 2003 SP2
All updates installed
Removed local virus scanner (just to rule out)
What did I try.
I already tried lost of post on the internet and also tried to resolve
the
issue whit help op eventide.net
1. Check share and NTFS permission and compared it whit to other
identical
servers
2. Multiple reboots
3. dfsutil /PurgeMupCache
4. Network Access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users =
"Enabled".
5. Network Access: Shares that can be accessed anonymously -> Add
SYSVOL to
the list.
6. Logon to the server whit a other Administrator (Full admin)
7. Dcgpofix ( I get the error: Unable to read EFS certificates from
Registry.pol file of Default Domain Policy. The error was: Logon
failure:
unknown user name or bad password.
8. DCdiag (everything passed) maybe I did not take a good look)
9. -netsh interface ip reset (tried to restore the IP stack)
10. Checked the order for the Nic's (one active and that one is on
top)

Hi,
After you changed the DNS settings, run the following command
ipconfig /flushdns & ipconfig /registerdns & net stop netlogon & net
start netlogon
