I have added permission for one of my users to access a directory (folder)
on
one my servers. the user has full control for permission. however when
the
user tries to access the directory (folder) the user gets the message
saying
that they don't have access to that directory(folder).

i right clicked the folder, go to properties, go to security tab, added
the
user (made sure that it was under our domain in the "look in" box) typed
the
users name the name and folder box, pressed enter and it appeared in the
box
below. (username and domain name). clicked on ok. back at the folder
properties box i first gave the user all rights except for full control
however the user got the access denied message. so i added the full
control
and the user still gets the access denied box.
i have in the past been able to give users permission to folders without
any
problems.

What am i doing wrong.

thanks,
