Hi Herb, I have about 5000 users and 4000 computers.
That's a lot, too many ?

Unfortunately for you question that is the "large end of Small domains" or
the "Small end of Large Domains".

A lot here will depend on your WAN lines and types of changes you
are making.

Thanks for the quick response. I extend the shema next Friday.

As Brian pointed out there is (some) more replication with Win2000
(DCs/forests) but if you domain/forest isn't very big it likely won't
matter anyway.

On the other hand if you have a GIANT forest you should research this
a bit more carefully.

How many users/computers do you have in the domains/forest?

Only the delta's.

If you are running Windows 2000, however, your global catalog will be
resync'ed if any of the new attributes are included in the partial
attribute
set.

After to the extension of the AD, did the entire NTDS.dit database is
replicated or just the new classes and attributes?
My NTDS.dit is 1Gb large, is that the whole database through the
network or just the new attributes and classes?- Masquer le texte des
