Hi
We have a consultant visiting us on Monday to discuss the following
proposal We have 2 domains ourcompany.net and ourcompany.local They
are connected but different networks however. Because of
routing changes there are currently there problems because the DCs
sometimes want to compete(same namespace)
We would like to get the 2 domains together so they act as 1
domain/Forest. I would appreciate any advice, reference on this. I
am not an AD expert but dont want
to be lost when talking to the consultant. Im hoping to have a base
of knowledge so I can ask the correct questions.
We will have a few consultants come in so hopefully one of them can
get this done

Most thanks

Corie

If the domains have the exact same netbios name, using ADMT to 'consolidate'
becomes a multi-staged affair.

If they are different netbios names then it's pretty straight forward.

Otherwise, ask them about their methodolgy, tools, experience, references,
etc
