Re: RIS INSTALLATION

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

did you read my previous message ?
I mixed up a bit ( a long time without adding a driver in ris)
copy the RIS version of the driver to Images\XXX\I386
copy the true driver in $oem$\$1\drivers
restart binlsvc

As i said about the RIS version:
Their standard driver often contain space in the sections's name, which ris can't process.
But then when windows really starts, it needs the standard driver.

in device manager but boroadcom NIC is showing in other devices. I tried the
same but its not working. Pl suggest something to impement the same with
Broadcom NIC.

Pl explain difference between RIS version and true version driver.

Hello,

Firstly, intel & broadcom provides specific version of their driver for RIS.
Their standard driver often contain space in the sections's name, which ris
doesn't like.

Then, you can create a $oem$\$1\drivers at the root of Images\name_of_image\
(same level as I386)
then specify the path in your sif file:
OemPnpDriversPath="drivers\mydriverfolders"

the sif is in I386\templates
