Re: Server03 Std, one user has Event ID 675, no shares.

Thanks.
Well I logged on to a DC(as domain admin) and ran netdom receiving the
following:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.domain>netdom reset 1V4JT01
/domain:domain
Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

(Using the correct domain name)

Try resetting the secure channel between the workstation/server and the dc.

netdom reset 'machinename' /domain:'domainname

Where 'machinename' = the local computer name and 'domainname' = the domain
where the computer/machine account is stored.

One user can not access the file server shares, the login window prompts
user/password but no user/password combo will work including domain admin
account.
The user account in AD is good as I have used it to log on work stations,
terminals server, and the console of the file server.
I am guessing it is on the users machine and not the server but I thought
I'd look at the server first. The error is below:

Event Type: Failure Audit
Event Source: Security
Event Category: Account Logon
Event ID: 675
Date: 12/3/2007
Time: 3:07:39 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: DC1
Description:
Pre-authentication failed:
User Name: user
User ID: DOMAIN\user
Service Name: krbtgt/domain
Pre-Authentication Type: 0x2
Failure Code: 0x18
Client Address: 10.0.0.103

I am stuck.
