or it has been disabled
or the PDC cannot be contacted

password changes are by default performed on the pdc emulator fsmo holder. if a user tries to log on and enters a wrong password, the authenticating DC will contact the pdc emulator first before denying the logon. unless you changed something in your environment i would say you have some other problem

I'm having a problem where as my branch users will change their password and
the change is not being replicated immediately around the domain.
I understand there is a setting "Contact PDC on Logon Failure" which can be
changed to resolve this matter, however I am unable to locate it.
We are running a Windows 2003 Environment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
