Re: New AD/Exchange Install

If I right click on an account, I do not see an Exchange Option.
I can't seem to get an atachment to go. I'll keep trying

Hello Charles,

So, if your user accounts have no mailbox, then you can not see the
exchange properties tabs. If you rightclick one user account you should
find the option exchange tasks, with this way you can configure some
settings for the users like mailboxes, etc. If a mailbox is created on the
server, the user account properties will have the additional tabs from
exchange.

And you have mail enabled user accounts?
I don't think so because I don't know where to enable it.
Is this somewhere in AD?
So every user account has a mailbox that you can view in
the exchange management console under the server?
That hasn't happened yet.

In the console open view and checkmark, advanced features. Then
they should be visible.

I just install Windows 2003 Server R2 Standard Edition, x64
Edition.
I
made
it my DC with DHCP, AD with DNS, WINS and Exchange. The first
thing
different I noticed is under the user properties the email tabs in
AD
are
missing. Where are they?
Charles
