Re: Separate Domain from Forest
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
Hi
If you remove that domain from the forest (manually) the domain will be dead
since all domains in the forest needs its parent domain and the root domain.
What I'm trying to say is that you can't remove that domain and expect to
create a different forest with that.

Is it possible to separate a domain from a forest?
We currently have an empty domain root with three child domains.
One of the child domain is no longer part of the business so we need to
remove it from the existing forest but leave it intact. What would need to
be done to achieve this? What problems might I face?
Any link to info on this subject would be cool
Cheers
Kin
