So on disk 2 of RC2 I run the adprep on which server? The windows 2003
standard or the new windows 2003 Enterprise that is at the remote site?

I run adprep /forestprep followed by adprep /domainprep on the windows
2003
standard?

Do I run anything after that or is that when I run dcpromo on the windows
2003 Enterprise server?

Thanks,

No you have R2 on this box so you need to extend the schema to match R2.
This is only available on disk 2 of the R2 disk.

Try that and see if things work better for you.

I have a 2003 Active Directory domain. I need to add a new DC at a new
remote site. I have windows 2003 Standard installed at the main site
and
I
have window 2003 RC2 Enterprise for the remote location. I tried to
run
Make
this an Active Directory wizard and it failed with and error saying
that I
need to run adprep. After some research it appears that I need to have
the
exact same OS at the remote site as I do at the local site? Is that
true?
If not, can some one to me a step by step proceedure or give me a KB
with
these instructions.

Thanks,
