So on disk 2 of RC2 I run the adprep on which server? The windows 2003
standard or the new windows 2003 Enterprise that is at the remote site?

I run adprep /forestprep followed by adprep /domainprep on the windows 2003
standard?

Do I run anything after that or is that when I run dcpromo on the windows
2003 Enterprise server?

No you have R2 on this box so you need to extend the schema to match R2.
This is only available on disk 2 of the R2 disk.

Try that and see if things work better for you.
