Re: Password Policy question

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Reversible encryption was needed for Digest authentication in IIS 5.0 where
the password has to be stored in reversible form in AD. It is no longer
required for Advanced Digest in IIS 6.0.
It is in no way related to cached credentials on workstations.
Hope that helps,

Hi all,

I have some questions in "Store password using reversible encryption"
option
in User Properties in Active Directory.

Does this option relates to the cache credential on workstations? I mean,
if
we enable this option, does the credential of the user is stored in the
workstation that he or she logs on to the domain in reversible mode?

Thanks

Reza
