Hi,
I have noticed over the past few days that it is taking an extremely long
time to open the AD Users & Computers MMC. When it does open if I right
click
on any object the context menu that should appear takes ages to come up
too.
There is a 2nd DC in our organisation and that server will open up the MMC
almost instantly. I have examined the event logs on the server concerned
and
cannot see anything specific related to not being able to contact AD
The following are errors in the event log that may or may not be of any
significance but I would appreciate some help determining this.
Source: Application Error
Event ID: 1000
Faulting application dllloader.exe, version 1.3.23.210, faulting module
sitesync.dll, version 1.3.23.210, fault address 0x00072644.
Source: ESENT
Event ID: 215
tcpsvcs (4404) The backup has been stopped because it was halted by the
client or the connection with the client failed.
These two events are the errors occuring most frequently, the 2nd error I
found on the MS KB and it seems to indicate a problem with exchange on
that
server. (exchange isnt on that server, its on another server)
Although a very slow response opening the AD Users & Computers MMC doesnt
seem like a major problem especially when I can use another server to do
the
administration work I need I am concerned of an underlying problem yet to
rear its ugly head and would like to try and prevent any further problems
from occuring.
Thanks for any help given
