DSListRoles Call Failed, Error 6 Could not reach DS at home server

I have two W2K3 DCs A and B in the same domain in a one-domain forest.

Errors From DC B
------------------------

I can run dcdiag at the console of DC B as:

dcdiag /a /v /test:Knowsofroleholders

and it passes.

Then I try:

dcdiag /a /v /c

and now the test knowsofroleholders is showing failures. Specifically DC
B is reporting:

"Fatal Error: DSListRoles (DC-A) call failed, error 6

Could not reach DS at home server."


Errors From DC A
------------------------

I can run dcdiag at the console of DC A with:

dcdiag /a /v /c

and I get the following errors.

In the OutboundSecureChannels step, I get the following for the record that
describes DC-A:

"Failed to read object metadata on DC-B, error The handle is invalid"

Similar errors above occur in other sections when querying other objects.

In the Replications section, the check on DC-B gets:

"DsReplicatGetInfo(NEIGHBORS,DC=ForestDnsZones...) failed with error 6,
The handle is invalid."


What does this mean, and what would be a likely cause?
