Re: SBS'03 - Local Users Not Listed in AD?

Hi
AD users are stored in AD dabase, local users are stored in a different
place "Local SAM DB", best practice depends of your needs, of course you
can't use create the same user twice, if you did how you distinghuish them?.
For your scenario (users to use OWA) you'll need a AD User account.

Hi,

A server newbie here. Question regarding user accounts and active
directory. If I create a new user using the "Add Users and Computers"
link
in "Server Management" it appears to create the user locally, and does not
list it in the active directory. Is that normal? If I try to add the
user
to AD, it says the name is already taken. What is the best practice? I
have
an Admin account on the sever, and would like to add several user accounts
who will be able to access their e-mail via network laptops and using OMA.

Thanks,
John
