You cannot replicate ADAM and AD. You can sync, but not replicate. You
also cannot sync passwords from AD to ADAM unless you implement some sort of
specialized password sync as the password data in AD cannot be read from it
during a typical sync.
ADAM generally will have no effect on AD except when you synchronize (if you
choose to do so) and if you are using things like pass through auth or bind
proxies.
Note that account management features in ADAM are a bit different from AD,
so you can't use them to get an exact comparison. There are also many
objects in AD that don't exist in ADAM (computer accounts, for example).
You can use it to learn about LDAP programming though.

Hi i have a question regarding Active Directory Application Mode.
I would like to setup a test environment for the developers at our
company,
who are learning to read, write to active directory.
Can i use ADAM to setup a replica of my domain? And when i setup adam i
guess it will not replicate with my production environment.
Does installing ADAM has any effect on the active directory domain?
