Hello Björn,
Did you tried it with a fix ip configuration for the server, which most of the time is the better solution for a DC?
Best regards

Hello together,
I have the folling problem.
I can't set up an futher domain controller in an existing domain
structure.
The config is following:
ADS-domain: firma.local
one domain trust (external)
Every DC has Windows 2003 R2 Standard SP2.
Currently three DCs for this domain on three different locations.
Exchange 2007 is installed
NIS Server is installed
Now I want to set up an further domain controller. Currently same
location/subnet like the first one (schema master), so no firewall or
something is "between" the computers.
The new computer is currently configured as DHCP-Client. DNS-server is
correct (first dc), and dns-resolution works.
nslookup works.
When I try to add the new computer as DC I get this error message:
"The assistent couldn't access to the domain lists of the global
structure It could maybe an DNS-problem.
Error: RPC server is not available."
The DCOM-server, PRC-Locator and RPC services are running on both
computers.
dcdiag and netdiag on the existing dc shows no errors.
Many thanks for some ideas!!
Björn
