About five years ago we set up something in AD to automatically map
everyone's T: drive to a common network share. Unfortunately, no one
remembers how we did this and we're a small ISV, so we share IT duties
(i.e.
we don't have an admin).
I've checked ALL of the "scripts" directories under %windir%\sysvol\sysvol
and they're all empty. I seem to remember being able to specify this in
Group
Policy, but we've been lucky to never really have to mess around w/GP, so
I
wouldn't know where to look if it's in there.
Can someone give me a pointer as to where we might find such a setting?
If you search in %windir%\sysvol\sysvol, and all subdirectories, for all
*.vbs, *.bat, *.cmd, and *.exe files and find none, you do not have a logon
script. The only other way I can think of to have this mapped automatically
is if the mapping is persistent.
Logon scripts can be configured for individual uses on the Profile tab in
ADUC. If you look at properties for the domain object or any OU object in
ADUC, there is a "Group Policy" tab. You select a policy from the list (if
there is any) and edit and navigate to "User Configuration", "Windows
Settings", "Scripts" and double click "Logon". This allows configuration of
logon scripts that apply to users in the domain or OU. If none are listed,
there is no logon script configured in that group policy.
