I would like to make it so that my client's PCs in my domain point to a
specified proxy server. I know where this value is set in IE (Tools >
Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings). In this box I want the
Use automatic configuration script checked and pointing to our proxy
server and none of the other ones checked. I can do this easily enough
in AD with group policy, which I did. I set it at three different
places... the OU level, the site level, and within DHCP I set the 252
IE Automate Configuration option under Server Options to point to the
proxy server as well.
Seems like some people are working (they get the correct settings)
while others are not (they retain their old settings pointing to the
other proxy server). Even if they manually change to the new settings,
when they reboot, the old ones come back. Is there another place I
should look at where the old proxy server could be set up at that is
forcing people to point to it?
Any questions/comments/suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
