We built an empty root forest, and now have been told by MS it was bad architecture, they no longer recommend building AD out that way. This is in a LAB environment. Now we'd like to collapse the parent and child domains to one, which would mimic our production forestry. Is there any way to take a domain that was created as a child domain and add all its objects and schema back into the parent domain? Then we'd like the child domain "off the air" if this is possible.
Might be best to start from scratch since it is lab in nature.
Any help appreciated.
