Hi
Are you saying that you don't have any help from existing DomainAdmins to
extend schema for exchange, etc..?
Even if you create a trust you'll need someone in the other domain to
provide credentials for trsut relationship creation.

I hope that the information above helps you.

I'm investigating the network at a GM dealership and have been asked
to setup wireless, Exchange, ISA server, etc. at the local
dealership. Problem is, GM manages the domain (with the exception of
AD Users and Computers) the user log into and I cannot get access to a
domain admin user to make any changes to the network. There are a lot
of business applications that I would assume need to use the GM
domain. Could I setup my own .local domain and setup a Trust
relationship whereby I trust the GM domain? If so, how would this
work with my server I add to the network in terms of providing/
connecting local services but under the GM domain? I might be able to
add another server to the GM domain but I can't setup services without
a Domain Admin account...
Any ideas?
