In my experience, it depends. I find a profile script and GPO script applied
to the domain run almost simultaneously. Usually the GPO script runs first,
but sometimes the profile script is first. A GPO applied to an OU seems to
run later. I'm sure it depends on the policy. If there is a lot to be
applied, I would expect the profile script to run first. I think a lot is
happening simultaneously. I have not seen documentation on this.

Richard,
Thanks for the info!
Follow-up question: Which script will be executed first? Why?
Thanks,

Currently we are executing logon scripts via the User properties in AD.
We
are manually entering the script file name within the User
Profile\Logon
script section. We are planning to create a logon script and deploy it
via
GPO (User Config\Windows Settings\Scripts\Logon).
(Million $) Question:
- If we are to run "Logon Script A" (via file name within the User
Properties in AD) and "Logon Script B" (via GPO - User Config\Windows
Settings\Scripts\Logon) parallel to each other, which logon script
takes
precedence? And why?
Both scripts will run.
