can't login to AD Restore Mode

I have a DC that had a drive failure. I've got the raid rebuilt, but were
AD is damaged. When I boot normally we get a lsass.exe error and to reboot
into ad restore mode.
So we reboot into ad restore mode, login, it loads personal settings and
logs you right back out.
There is no way to get into windows, I tried safe mode, and last known with
no help.
I also won't let me login to restore mode like I said, as it logs me right
back out with no error message.
This is not the only DC in the domain, nor does it hold any master roles.

What can I do here? I was going to try and boot from the windows cd and try
a repair. If that didn't work, reinstall windows...
any other option here???

Thanks
John
