AD Mixed Mode / Native Mode

I have set up new AD (windows 2003) with a trust to NT4 domain, which
works fine.

I want to use the User/Computer Migration tool to transfer the Acounts
over to AD. I current have the AD configuration in Mixed Mode, but
the Migration tool requires AD in native mode (I know how to change
this).

I am sure of the affects to the trust if i change to native mode.

All the Workstation on the NT4 domain are Windows XP with one or two
Windows 2000. most of the Server as still NT4 with some Windows 2000.

1. Will the trust still operate the same way?

2. Will i still be able to access the resource cross the domains.
i.e. i have laptops out of the office which i am not likly to see any
time soon, maybe as long as a year.

Thanks for any advice.
