It probably needs to go into the Trusted Sites area because some clients are
having to access the mail site from the internet. So by putting it in just
the trusted site area it should work because that is what I did at home
manually. However no mater what changes I make in the GPO they dont seem to
be making it down to the Vista client.

It works on our XP & 2000 boxes. The only difference I see is that you're
using an https address where we're using http addresses and you have
Vista.
When you open IE on the client and go into local intranet under security
settings the changes don't appear?

Didnt work. I did what you showed and went to the client and ran gpudate
to
just make sure. There was no change to the settings.

You can define this in User Configuration -> Windows Settings ->
Internet
Explorer Maintenance -> Security -> Security Zones and Content Ratings.
Warning - In our environment (NT2003 AD Native) defining these settings
results in the "An unknown error occurred while the HTML report was
being
created" error when you try to display settings for the GPO (GPMC) or
run
a
GP Results for any computer it applies to. We put these settings into
another GPO and then disable/reenable it when we need to run these
reports.

I am trying to use the GPO in 2003 servers to tell Vista computers
that
our
mail server is in a Trusted Zone. I have tried using both computer and
user
settings in Site to Zone and told it that https://mailserver.org has a
value
of 2 which is a Trusted Site. For some reason the Vista computer is
not
accepting the policy changes. Any clue on how to get Vista to accept
the
site as a trusted site using GPO?
