Re: Raise domain functional level to Server 2003, when having subd

Ok I look at the JSI Faq solution and since I'm not finding any duplicate,
they suggest to move the replication partner to a temporary OU and run
repadmin, and put it back to is original location, and run it again...

THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THE Domain Controller server object itself??? We are
not supose to move those objects from the Domain Controller OU? Correct me if
I'm wrong?

Thanks, we did it and still nothing wrong happened... but, we are still
looking for what we still have replication conflicts:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: NTDS Replication
Event Category: Replication
Event ID: 1083
Date: 6/28/2007
Time: 8:10:11 AM
User: NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON
Computer: DC01
Description:
Active Directory could not update the following object with changes
received
from the domain controller at the following network address because Active
Directory was busy processing information.

Object:
CN=xyz,OU=Users,OU=East,OU=Resources,DC=domain,DC=com
Network address:
352356745646735._msdcs.domain.com

This operation will be tried again later.

---------------

Now that we are at Server 2003 level, all objects have been moved to a new
OUs structure, concerned objects seem to are not corrupted or duplicated,
what could be done to fix that?

Thanks.

Hi!

We would like to know if it will have any impact upgrading a domain
functional level to Server 2003, when this domain is a parent domain of
two
child domain still running Windows 2000 Server domain controllers?

That's look like:

parent.com <-- we want to raise this one
child1.parent.com <-- still running Windows 2000 Server DCs
child2.parent.com <-- still running Windows 2000 Server DCs

Anything to worry about?

Thanks.
