I am trying to migrate from 2000 AD to 2003 AD. Before I had two 2000
domain controllers (A and B). I introduced C and D which are 2003
controllers to the domain. A holds all ownership roles. I recently
retired B by moving server services off to another machine and
demoting to a stand alone server.

Now I want to retire A and move FSMO to C. Is there anything to
consider before transferring roles from A to C and then demoting A?

http://www.petri.co.il/transferring_fsmo_roles.htm

Thanks.

Thanks....puts my mind at ease.

One thing I forgot to mentions is TRUST. The domain I am working on
(Domain A) has a two way trust to another domain. Do I need to break
the trust first, transfer FSMO/set GC and then establish trust again.
