We have two seperate companies with seperate AD,s and exchange servers. We
want to merge these AD forests so that we have a single Forest with one
domain and we wish to migrate Exchange to a single Exchange organization.
There is no trivial way to merge forests.
Does anybody know of a white paper that is available that explains how to
do
this?
You have two basic choices:
1) Migrate one (or both) forests into the other domain, recreating every
user account and dealing with permissions and especially
PROFILES
2) Forest Level Trust -- both Forests must be in Win2003 Forest
Functional Level
(i.e., all Win2003 DCs and level has been upgraded.)
