There is not such thing like alias objects in Active Directory, and you can't really use aliases for the domain name either. What you can do is to choose an easier NetBIOS Name for your domain. Like FQDN may would be europe.corp.chrisse.com but the NetBIOS name will be just EUR.. that allows me to logon as EUR\username. What you also can do is to setup different UPN suffixes and associate with user accounts logging on as username@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello,
How can I take my AD domain, lets say "homesweethome.com" and be able
to also reference it as hsh when add machines to the domain? I dont
mean to have to seperate domains. I mean to just the ability that
homesweethome is my AD domain name, but everything on the domain can
be done using hsh\user
