Re: how to display a list of users from notepad or excel in active directory


This is all fine but i just wanted a nice quick
and simple way to display only a certain number of users in
ADUC..
i have them on an excel *** to where the names are
seperated in different columns..
these uses have noting in common about them.. they are
chosen for a certain faciltiy to use.. no specific ou nor a
group.. if i do a query in AD , i want to to only display
those specific users from all over AD so i can set
certain parameters and for O.C..

How are the users identified? By NT name? By Distinguished Name? By Common
Name? By First and Last Names? If the users are identified by a First Name
in one column and a Last Name in another, it may not be possible unless all
users in AD have values assigned to these fields, and the combinations of
First and Last names uniquely identify the users, which is not likely.
