Secondary DNS Zone Type changed to Active Directory type??

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

We have an Enterprise Environment in a hub and spoke environment.. We
have forest root domain xyz.org and 10 Child domains on windows 2003
R2.

Each Child domains level has a secondary copy of the root zone
xyz.org.. Lately some of those secondary where changed automatic to
Active Directory Type..... for some unknown reason..

What is the best way to fix this and make xyz.org as secondary again??
Shall I delete and add it again as secondary.. Any clue??? why this is
happening?
