Re: Cannot change user password...cannot create new user

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

What do you see in the event log of 1) the exchange server? 2) the domain
controllers?
If nothing of consequence, what happens if you use the active directory
users and computers on the domain controller?

If that doesn't yield anything, what is the domain topology and relation to
Exchange?

hi,

I run Exchange on Windows 2003 server. And I have strangest thing ever.
Whenever I browse to a user through "Active Directory Users and
Computers", right-click username and choose "Reset Password..." it give
me the following error:

WINDOWS CANNOT ACCESS OBJECT -USERNAME- BECAUSE:
NO SUCH INTERFACE SUPPORTED
THE OBJECT MAY HAVE BEEN DELETED BY ANOTHER ADMINISTRATOR IN THIS
ENTERPRISE.

Then when I go and try to create a new user after completing the whole
process it gives me this error:

AN ERROR OCCURED. CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR.

Please help!!! I have tried everything that I could find to solve it. I
check permissions. I deligated control. I checked Active Directory
database integrity.
