Re: AD site and services - How do I speed up replication time?

Hi Gonzo

To use GUI open Active Directory Sites & Services, under sites container
expand your site then expand server then explore server name select NTDS
Settings. on right pane you will see connections between diffrent sites
select the connection you want to modify right click properties and choose
"Change Schedule"

GUI gives limited choices.

Sorry about this but i don't see:

Replicator notify pause after modify (secs)
Replicator notify pause between DSAs (secs)

under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters

Can't this be done via a GUI?

Thanks

Try reducing the replication interval to do so please check below key in
the
registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters

To modify the delay between the change to the Active Directory and first
replication partner notification,
double-click Replicator notify pause after modify (secs). Change the Radix
in the DWORD Editor to Decimal to see the default 300 seconds (5 minutes).
Change it to the number of seconds you desire.

To modify the notification delay between domain controllers,
double-click Replicator notify pause between DSAs (secs). Change the Radix
in the DWORD Editor to Decimal to see and change the default 30 seconds.

In AD sites and services I have 2 sites, one which is the head office
which
has 2 DC's and an offsite site which has 1. I have a good link (100mb)
to
this offsite location, it's probably simple and I just want to know how I
can speed up replicate between the offsite and head office DC's?

It's at an hour at the moment.
