Hello Jorge,
Thanks for your help, but i still have a problem.
The thing is that i don't have the system disk to perform a restore.
The only thing i have is a system state backup.
Is it possible to perform a clean install and name the server as it was
before and do a DCPROMO?
Can this cause me any problems?
Thanks in advanced.
Best regards,
José Folha.

if you still have another DC up and running you are OK....
for the server that died:
re-install windows
restore AT LEAST the system disk and the system state (make sure the SYSVOL
is restored non-authoritatively)

Hello, i have 2 windows 2003 server, with Active Directory.
One of them had a faillure, and i will need to install everything again.
I have the system state backup for this failed system.
How can i restore the settings i had before?
It´s just to perform a new installation, join the domain as a member
server
and then perform an AD restore?
Thanks.
Best regards,
José Folha.
