Hi,
thanks for your answer - I read the blog and the KB.
Is it right:
- aging sometimes does not work correctly in w2k3-R2
is there a hotfix?
- best way is to give perms on del Obj
I tried this - I logged in as domain admin and changed the user of the
adam server to a built in administrator. Then I synced with
adamsycn /snyc
then /fs
then /ageall
but again, a user, who is deleted in AD is not deleted in ADAM.
Is it because of the filter, as ext. Attr. 7 is not listed in the
attributes of a deleted Object? I checked the attributes of a deleted
object (KB258310) and found that there are only 4: cn, distinguished
name, name and canonical name. Does it mean, my filter must match one
of these attributes, so that the deletes are recognized correctly?
I need a small synced AD->ADAM LDAP directory so that my fax software,
which makes LDAP requests, do not run into an timeout. This is why I
use the ex Attr 7 filter, all other users don't get fax or voice
mails.

Hi
the likely problem here is that you are filtering on an attribute
(extensionAttribute7) that is not preserved on the deleted object so the
DirSync cannot track the deletion[1]. Changing the attribute to be preserved
on deletion of the object might help but extensionAttribute7 is an Exchange
owned attribute so that might break something. You could try to adjust your
filter to check explicitly for deletions but in my experience trying to be
clever with ADAMSync object-filter usually ends in disappointment.
In principal using ADAMSync aging should help, see:
http://blogs.technet.com/efleis/archive/2006/10/28/change-visibility-...as indicated in that blog aging is broken, see also:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927053LeeFlight[1] for deletions to be tracked requires W2K3 SP1 on the source AD, IIRC.<d...@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in messagenews:1174904746.208195.132060@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Hello,>> I tried to sync my MS AD to an ADAM Instance.
