- So, if you will get rid of the old server move all FSMO roles to the new one.

- Also make it a Global catalog server.

- Check that DNS is configured to point to the new server as the primary DNS server.

- after the settings are ok run DCDIAG and NETDIAG and check for errors.

- Did you use more then one NIC to connect to your network?

i have the 2 servers with win 2003.from the old i transported AD, DC,
DNS, DHCP on the new but every time when i turn off the old server on
the new server in the event wiever i receive mesagges:

i don't have problem with the work my network but i want to know
where's problem.
i finded on the new server in active directory users and computers in
option operations masters on tab PDC it's stand in the Operations
master name of old server.
and i finded in active directory sites and services when i click on
the ntds>propreties on the old server in option the global catalog
it's stand checked box,and in the ntds>propreties of new server this
options is empty.
can i change these options for new server (PDC on the new server and
global catalog on the old server off,and on new server on). maybe
these messages don't show it no longer
