Hello,

I am freelance semi IT for a small company with three branches offices
that each have Windows 2003 server.
I am planning to implement Active Directory for the companywide use. I
like to know what is the best and simple design for each branch.

One domain for all together is the simplest and if it is "one company"
sharing
resources then likely the best.

Each branch with DSL service with dynamic IP but I am able to track the IP
change with service from DynDNS.org

Such can be used to create VPNs between.

You will need a "Site" for each location--AD Sites and Services.

I am able to configure Windows and DNS server but need direction on the
design and planning for the Active Directory.

AD is the easiest part (single domain) -- most AD problems are really DNS
issues.

Internal (domain) computers must be set to use STRICTLY
the INTERNAL DNS Server (set) which can resolve the DCs
and other internal resources, on all interfaces.
The internal

DNS set supporting AD must offer the DYNAMIC updates to
the zone.
