The ADM files are updated automatically by the GPEditor unless you've
turned this option off. So, to update the ADM files for a given GPO,
install the ADM files on your workstation and then edit an OU using the
GPEditor on your workstation. You don't have to use a workstation, you
can use a server or DC if that's where you normally edit your GPOs. The
new ADM files will be copied to the DC that you are editing the GPO on,
which is the PDCe by default. These new files will replicate with SYSVOL.
I don't quite follow your second question. If you're asking are there any
issues with Native mode domain then the answer is no.
