That's fine, you really shouldn't have to be managing DCs from the DC consoles, you should be doing stuff like that from workstations. If you find yourself constantly working from a DC console, you are very likely not doing things optimally.

We are thinking about replacing two 32-bit domain controllers with one single
64-bit domain controllers. All domain controllers are running Windows
2003 R2 SP1. We heard at the an launch event that a 64-bit global catalog
server outperforms a 32-bit server - I think the speaker said it can handle
more than triple the request. Is there any problems with do this? After
this replacement it would still leave us with three domain controllers/two
global catalog servers so we would still be fault tolerant in our environment.
