Hi I have 2 DC hosting a single AD domain and deployed some GPOs. It is
very strange that I find some GPOs linked to the domain (NOT the OU) got
applied twice for user account but not computer... e.g. using GPMC

Group Policy Modeling:
Default Domain Policy appeared ONCE and being placed on top of the list in
User Configuration Summary\Group Policy Objects\Applied GPOS.

Group Policy Results:
Default Domain Policy appeared TWICE, on on top and the another around the
bottom of the list...
Even Local Group Policy appeared TWICE in the Denied GPOs list (reason is
Empty)

Obviously (so you may have done these) you should check for a second
linking (on any of the user's [Site,] Domain or OUs -- site is unlikely
since
it didn't apply to computer twice and by definition user and computer are
always in the same site.]

Second, look for LoopBack setting so that Computer policy objects are
getting added (merged or replace mode) to the user.
