Hi there....
We have just setup a new AD infrastructure covering 12 sites.
Our repication design consists on 3 main hub sites which are
interconnected and then we have smaller sites connected to each of the
hubs.
We have defined the site links so that the 3 hub sites are fully
connected A-B, B-C, C-A and then the smaller sites which connect to
their defined hub site.
The problem were experiencing is that based on the site links we've
allowed th AD KDCC to automatically generate its replication partners
based on site links.
However what we've found is that via the automatic generation of
replication partners we get the auto links A-B, B-C but we don't get
an auto replication between sites C-A, but instead using replication
monitor we found that the replication between C-A is actually done via
B so what we get is A-B-C.
What I'd like to know is it possible to get it to automatically
generate the replication partners for C-A, rather than using the
intermediate B. I've even tried deleting all the replication partners
at each site and get it to regenerate, but regardless it still doesn't
generate the replication partners the way we'd like it.
Can anyone give me some advice on how we should configure this, I know
that we can alternativelly create the links manually but then this
means we have to create all the links and do the redundency manually
otherwise it will cause issues if there's a site failure.
Many thanks
.
