Hi Ace
Came across some issues, hopefully you can help.
Made local user acc 'power user'
Logged in as domain user
Install accounts program, had to 'run as' the power user
Required a restart
Logged in as domain user
Double clicked Account package icon
Box appears
MS Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime error!
Program C:\Program files\Intuit\QuickbooksPro\qbw32.exe
abnormal program termination
Then agreed to the licence
Box appears
You do not have sufficient rights, contact the system admin and ask
for standard user rights,(as good as what it is saying)
How can I do this ?
I have not placed any restrictions on users, bar hiding system
properties from My Computer.
Just as a matter of interest, why cant MS make small tasks like this
easier for system admins, the reason why I ask is because of the time
that has gone into this.
Same problem crops up when I try to access programs that were
installed on the local PC, that domain users have to use.
Do I have to reload all these applications?
Or even better yet, how would you go about this, having domain users
access to programs on the system?
Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003, will this help me install
apps for domain users?
This is frustrating, if you can help , big thanks
Regards
Gray hair, I meant to add the Domain User account to the Local Power User
group, not the local user account. That specific DOmain User account is what
is logging on and using the app, not the local admin.
