You need to run adprep from second CD.

Hi,

I have installed a W2K3 R2 domain controller as the first DC in a new domain. This was a 32-bit install.
I next installed W2K3 R2 Ent x64 on another server and tried to add it to the existing domain as another domain controller. dcpromo barked at me about the source forest not being correct and that I should run adprep.

Here's the bind ...
Running 32bit adprep from the 32 install of W2K3 R2 tells me everything is up-to-date.
The 64bit version won't run on the 32bit machine.

The news groups talk about using Exchange 2007 adprep utility to update the schema but I reckon there has to be another way. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

PGC
