All,
Based on the reading I have done, I think I am on the right track, but I
figured I would ask here anyway...
I have a mixed mode Win2000 AD domain with Exchange server 2000. I am
looking to migrate this domain to a Windows 2003 R2 AD domain. We will be
upgrading to Excahnge 2003 later this year, but not yet.
So once I have done testing on AD health and client verification I am
looking to:
Run Exchange 2003 forest prep
Run Exchange 2003 domain prep
Run Windows 2003 ADPrerp/Forestprep
Run Windows 2003 ADPresr /Domainprep
Install a new Windows 2003 R2 server and join the domain
Run DCPromo on the new Windows 2003 R2 server to make it a domain controller
Then, over time, I can decommission the Windows 2000 DC's and upgrade My
Exchange 2000 server. But if I follow the steps above, I should be OK and
fully functional, correct?
Thanks so much!
David
