Hi
I setup the AD in 2003 Server and is running it in a Test environment.
Everytime I create a new user,I have to try different passwords due to the
secure policy, set by W2K3 by default. I just tried to get rid of it by
changing the Domain Security policy. But still I face the same problem.I
found a document that said to run secedit /refreshpolicy, but I get
unknown
parameter sort of error.
Please advise me the right steps to set the Domain accept blank passwords
too.As it is for a test enviroment, security is not a concern, we just
need
to test and implement Exch 2007 later the Quarter. We are studying the
features and compatibility with various OS like Mac, as we also have a few
MAC users and PDA users too.
As I recall, Mac users must use a password that is stored in "reversible
encryption" format -- set on the users properties (e.g., when the account
is created or subsequently changed in the General tab.)
See my first post about checking your (likely hosed up) DNS server or
settings.
Thanks in advance for all your helps
Best regards
Dinesh
