Re: Dynamic Groups

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Unless you are needing the groups for Exchange mail delivery there is nothing to do other than buy a product that will do it (Like Active Roles Server from Quest), set up something like IIFP (this was supposed to get this functionality when I spoke to MSFT several years ago, not sure if they did it yet - note it requires Enterprise SQL Server), or write a script/tool to do it.

We would like to populate groups based on a user’s OU membership. For example, I would like a group called “OU_London Members” which contains all the users under the London OU and sub OUs. This needs to be dynamic so that if a user moves OUs, the group membership for each OU group changes. Ideally, a dynamic group would be available to address every OU in our AD forest. Any suggestions?
