Hi Paul,
Exactly i added the DWORD key value in registry of
HKLM\System\Currentcontrolset\services\ntfrs\parameters
"Enable Journal Wrap Automatic Restore" as 1.
I checked the event log for FRS, its shows as:
"The File Replication Service is no longer preventing the computer XX-XX
from becoming a domain controller. The system volume has been successfully
initialized and the Netlogon service has been notified that the system
volume
is now ready to be shared as SYSVOL. "
But im unable to create the new user id and even not able to reset the
password for existing users from Active directory users & computers. The
error
shows:
"An error occured. contact your system administrator".(Exactly while
giving
the password for the new user & click the next button).
Pls help me
Regards
Rajaguru

When you say you added the dword are you talking about the burflgs

Hi paul
Wish u happy new year 2007. regret for the delay. i downloaded frsdiag
tool
from the link u provided & ran. it created log files for NTfrs. Even i
added
the registry key DWORD key value for "Enable Journal Wrap Automatic
Restore"
for ntfrs parameters as 1 (which is guided by FRS Event viewer).
not yet solved, pls help to solve this issues.

rajaguru

There still isn't much to go on here, other than it seems to point to
ntfrs.
Try running frsdiag

Not enough info has been provided.
Check the event logs
-Also-
Run diagnostics against your Active Directory domain.
If you don't have the tools installed, install them from your
server
install
disk.
d:\support\tools\setup.exe
Run dcdiag, netdiag and repadmin in verbose mode.
-> dcdiag /e /c /v /s:DC_Name /f:c:\dcdiag.log
-> netdiag.exe /v > c:\netdiag.log (On each dc)
-> repadmin.exe /showrepl dc* /verbose /all /intersite >
c:\repl.txt
If you download a gui script I wrote it should be simple to set and
run
(DCDiag and NetDiag). It also has the option to run individual
tests
without having to learn all the switch options. The details will
be
output
in notepad text files that pop up automagically.
The script is located in the download section on my website at
http://www.pbbergs.com
Just select both dcdiag and netdiag make sure verbose is set.
(Leave
the
default settings for dcdiag as set when selected)
When complete search for fail, error and warning messages.
