If I am understanding what you want to do, just make the Primary and Sec
DNS servers in the IP settings on the new DC for ChildDom.Contoso.MSFT
to the existing DNS servers.
By doing this, the existing DNS servers will host the DNS for the new
Child Domain. Here is what it will look like
->Contoso.MSFT
--->_msdcs (Note that this is a delegation and there is a forward
lookup for this)
--->_Sites
--->_TCP
--->_UDP
--->DomainDnsZone
--->ForestDnsZone
--->Child_Domain
If you were to install a DNS server for ChildDomain.contoso.msft, you
would create a delegation in Contoso.MSFT to ChildDomain pointing to
the new DC. You would do this before running DCPROMO, so the DCPROMO
will create all Domain info on the DNS server running on the New Child
DC.
