Roaming Profile problem

I'm trying to implement roaming profiles for students that signon to lab
PC's.
I did the following:
1. created a test student in AD on serverA
2. assigned the profile path to \\serverB\roamingProfiles\%username%
3. setup the shared path on serverB for roamingProfiles with student group
with full access rights
4. Logged on as test student
5. logged off
6. Logged on same workstation as administrator
7. selected system and advanced to try to copy user profile to serverB

Problem : when I select the test student it does not present me with the
option to copy
it comes up with the local radio checked.

What am I doing wrong? Did I miss a step?
